Proverbs of a 41 yr. old man
God created all living things to need subsistence like food and water. Food is a gift of life and a reminder that you hunger for the Living God! A gift from the soil that nurtures it, from the rain that waters it, from the farmer who tends it and from the workers who bring it into our reach. In the same way all nourishment of body and soul comes from God who gives it. The LORD gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Amen. Hear the LORD Jesus say, “Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. Amen. You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! For your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Our God has so much for us to enjoy! Start off with a salad, a entree, and a fruit drink. Realize it was made for you by the heart of God so that you would hunger and thirst to know Him my through Jesus Christ our LORD.
