Proverbs of a 41 yr. old man
There is a time coming where it will not be cool to be Christian. Name dropping in politics and God is love will no longer find its place in society. It won't matter if you are left or right, your faith in Jesus will not be welcomed anymore. Nations will no longer support righteousness but accept a watered-down version of it. People will say it's enough to be just a good person, to just say the culturally right things and that is the true show of character. The love of money will consume the hearts of men and women. The words In God we trust will fade and rust way from our physical money as we go cashless in society. Society will become so prideful in their pride, that God and His Word is no longer honored but sin and progressivism is. In calling evil good and good evil the Christian is considered a judgmental and fascist. Pleasure and freewill will exile a Christian because they do not do the sinful things that the world does. And by speaking against it you will be persecuted and called a bigot and a hypocrite, even a racist. People will be heartless to each other, not able to agree to disagree on common sense. Gossip and slander will ruin the Christian name to the world. But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. The time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. Having the appearance of godliness but denying its power. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. To be a real God-fearing Christian will not be popular. God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are a follower of Christ. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. But don't let anyone trick you with foolish talk. God punishes everyone who disobeys him and says foolish things. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. Why is this? Because people will blame God for everything that sin has destroyed in their life. People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD. This is preparing for the Spirit of Antichrist to come and deceive the world. Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
