Do not judge and criticize and condemn others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge, so that you will not be judged unfairly. So many people accuse others of doing wrong. But there is no excuse for what they do. When you judge others, you condemn yourselves, because you are guilty of doing the very same things. Let's break that down. To judge is to love. You do a disservice to people when you do not judge them. We are to judge each other not by throwing stones at one another but by taking planks out of each other's eyes. Meaning once we take the log out of our own eye, we can now judge clearer the plank in someone else's eye. We are called to be our brother's keeper and to grow together in the knowledge of Christ Jesus our LORD. The world cannot understand this kind of love. Tolerating all kind of things in the name of love but not rooted in God's truths. They would rather coddle you in sin and even approve it for others. Things that will kill, steal, and destroy your life the people of this world would say, "do what you want it's your life." As born again and redeemed children of God we must live as a new creation forsaking the ways of wickedness. Learning to live a new life of forgiveness walked out in grace and truth. Let the wicked man forsake his way and live a life of sacrifice. Forgiveness is sacrifice. We must love one another and forgive one another as Jesus loved us. For he didn't come to condemn us but to save us. And so, we must not go around condemning people but actually be a part of reconciling people to God in Christ. Let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. And that means speaking the truth in love to one another through the grace and mercy Jesus has given to us. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So, we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. Amen. As we live in the Light let us judge one another in love and build each other up. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.
