Selfish to Selfless
Good morning Brothers, Happy Friday! Praise God for bringing you to the end of another week. God loves you. I love you. Pray for someone who has been hurtful to you. God will hear and answer your prayers. Let’s sing, All the way my Savior leads me; What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell; For I know whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well; For I know whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. Today’s verse is from Philippians 2:3. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Our default setting is selfishness but Jesus didn't leverage His authority for personal advantage, power, pleasure, control, or comfort. He took on the nature of a servant! Jesus spent His time investing in others focusing His attention on helping others. Jesus gave up His own life for others, will you? The Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and relationships with other believers are what refines our hearts. And with God's help, we can change our tendency from living selfishly into living selflessly. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
