Why Do We Turn Away From God's Mercy?

Good morning Brothers, Happy Monday! Thank God for waking you up this morning. God loves you. I love you. Take a moment to pray for someone, God will hear and answer your prayers. Don’t be alarmed, he said. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.(Mark 16:6). Let’s sing, I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer And just the time I need Him He's always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. Today’s verse is from Matthew 23.37. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. It's tragic: the ones who most need mercy reject it. Why do we turn away from God's mercy? Jesus is aching to gather us into His care. His mercy is marked and matchless. He's longing to embrace us. In a world where mercy feels foreign, who can you extend God's mercy and grace to today? Let's believe this mercy is real. Let's receive it with grateful hearts and give thanks to the One who is quite literally dying to extend it to us. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
